When the word "download" is used on a world-wide website it is telling the user that they can save (download) the file to their computer hard disk from that website.
These study files are for your use or to give away. These studies are copyrighted and can not be sold.
We have saved these studies in older versions of MS Word and WordPerfect word-processing programs to hopefully make it easier for you to use. For the Macintosh user we have saved the studies in Word 5.0/5.1 for Macintosh. We used MS Word to save the studies in a format for Word 5.0/5.1 for Macintosh. We have also made the studies available in text only format for those of you who are not using WordPerfect, MS Word or Word 5.0/5.1 for Macintosh. We hope this will make it so all our website users can have these studies on their computers.
There are four types of study files for you to download.
1. Click here to download the compressed files for WordPerfect or MS Word. You will find buttons at the bottom of each study for the compressed files of the study you are in.
2. Click here for the uncompressed files for MS Word or Macintosh.
3. Click here for the text only files that should be able to be used in any word-processing program.
4. Click here to open one of the studies with your browser. After the study is open, use your browser file's pull-down menu and choose the "Save As" command. This saves the file to your computer hard disk as an html file.
Note
to Macintosh
Users:
We have saved the studies for Word 5.1 for Macintosh
in the uncompressed files and the compressed files for Word 5.0/5.1 for Macintosh.
Click
here for the Macintosh files.
If you are paying by the minute with your internet service, you should download the compressed files. The compressed files are approximately 50% smaller than the size of the uncompressed files. If you want uncompressed files, you should download the text only files listed at the bottom of this page. They are the smallest files you can get other than the compressed files.
FOR
THE WEB-TV OR PUBLIC WEB-STATION USERS
AND THE COMPUTER USER WITH NO WAY TO
DOWNLOAD FILES.
The only way for you to get the set of studies is to go to the public library and sign up for internet/computer time. You need to write down this web address: http://www.godsbook.com. You must enter this address on the public library's computer web browser to open our website. When our web site is opened, choose How To Download from the menu. Then go to the area for how to download the uncompressed files. Download the MS Word 6.0/95 - the uncompressed files. To save the files you will need to get two or three 3-1/2 inch computer disks or one Read-Write CD-ROM. You can ask the library if they have computer disks or CD-ROMs for sale when you set up the computer time. If the library doesn't sell disks or CD-ROMs, go to a store that sells them and get them before going to the library. After you save the files to the disks or CD-ROM, take the disks to a public printer and have the files printed. It prints about 400 pages on one side of the page when printing the studies. It is recommended that you use MS Word when printing the files since most public printers are best equipped to read those files.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR COMPRESSED FILES
The compressed files are saved with the WinZip program. The compressed files must be uncompressed with WinZip before you can open them. We have compressed the files to save you download time. The files in the compressed format are approximately 50% smaller than the size of the uncompressed files.
The icons you find at the bottom of each study are linked to the compressed files. There are three sets of icons to choose from: 1) the study you are in, 2) the complete study guide, 3) the study books in one file.
The icons are like
these:
NOTE: All these icons are linked to compressed files. After the download is completed the file must be uncompressed using the WinZip program.
To uncompress the files you will need a copy of the WinZip program installed on your PC. You may get a demo copy from WinZip at http://www.winzip.com
To download the study guide choose the button that corresponds to your word-processing program. After you have clicked on the button, the download starts automatically. If you want only selected studies but not all of the studies, you must go to each study you want a copy of and do a download from the location of each study you want. If you are downloading the complete study guide, you don't need to download individual studies. The complete study guide has a copy of each study in it with an index to each study.
NOTE: Although the studies are included in the complete study guide, the study books are not part of the complete study guide. You must go to the file area of this page and click on the study books file for your word-processing program or go to each study book in the index. Then choose the appropriate icon at the end of each study book.
After you have picked the icon of your choice, your web browser will (most of time) ask if you want to Open the file or Save it to your computer like in the dialog box shown below. This dialog box opens automatically after the download has started.

NOTE: If you have chosen one of the icons or picked one of the compressed files below you must SAVE not OPEN. All of these files are compressed files which are unreadable to a word-processing program. When you uncompress the file it will then make a standard word-processing file. The file must be uncompressed using the WinZip program after it is saved to your computer hard drive.
After you click on SAVE, the next dialog box asks you where you want to save the file on the hard disk:

From this dialog box, you can put the file in any folder on your hard drive that you want, or you may make a new one. You should write down the name of the folder and the file name. This makes it easier for you to find the file when using WinZip to OPEN and EXTRACT the file to your computer. The WinZip extraction command will place the file in a folder called "c:/godsbook/filename". The next dialog box will be the one showing how long it will take to complete the download.

Pick from the list below to get the full set of studies. The full set is made of two files: 1) the study guide and 2) the study books.
These studies are in the WinZip compressed format and must be uncompressed with WinZip after they are downloaded.
1. WordPerfect 6.0 compressed format files - to get the complete study guide click here. For the study books click here.
2. MS Word 6.0/95 compressed format files - to get the complete study guide click here. For the study books click here.
In the word processor uncompressed format it takes a long time to download because of the size. When you download one of the word processor uncompressed files you may find that your ISP may not let you download large files. The MS Word file uncompressed is over one MG in size and can take over ten minutes to download.
We have saved these word processor files for you to download in the uncompressed format. You will need to download one of each of the following: 1) complete study 2) one of each of the study books, to have the complete set of our studies.
NOTE:
Netscape Browser
When you click to download the MS Word files using Netscape Browser, the Netscape Browser downloads the MS Word document (.DOC file) the same way it
does

you will see as you download the MS Word file using Netscape Browser click
here. Then come back here and click the study file you want to

NOTE:
MS Explorer Browser
When you click to download the MS Word files using MS Explorer Browser,
the MS Explorer Browser does a download in a temp file and opens the
files inside the MS Explorer Browser using MS Quick View Plus shown below.
From the MS Quick View Plus you can print the study file but the file is not saved
to your computer so you can open it with MS Word at a later time.

For you to have the file saved as a document on your computer, you must click the button Open a new copy of "filename.doc" for editing. Then you will be asked where to save the file to your computer. You can put the file in any folder you want to or make a new folder from the icon shown below. You may want to make a new folder to save the files in.

When you have selected the place to save the new file, then click on the Save button. MS Word opens with the new document for you to edit or print.

Note
to Macintosh users:
We have changed these file extensions to
.EXE from
.MCW. (NOTE THESE
FILES ARE NOT EXECUTABLE FILES ONLY DOCUMENT FILES). We have made this
change so your browser will start the download automatically. This
makes the files so they are read by your browser so it can download the files to your computer from our web site. The web browsers do not
read the .MCW as a file extension it can
save to your computer. You must change the document extension .EXE back to the .MCW extension
after saving it. This must be done before you open the file
with your Macintosh program. The files with file names ending in .EXE
extensions are unreadable with your Macintosh program. You can use your file
manager to rename the file extensions back to the .MCW from the
.EXE.
You will get a warning box on the Rename command after renaming the file extension. It is if you change a filename extension, the file may become unusable. Are you sure you want to change it? Yes or No. You have to pick YES because the file is unusable to you with the .EXE extension on it. You need the .MCW extension for your Macintosh to read the file.

NOTE:
Your web browser will download the Word 5.1 for Macintosh document
(filename.MCW)
files the same way it does all other files with .EXE or .ZIP extensions.
